IDBL - This is IASCA ’s SPL competition format. IdBL Divisions (Rookie, Stock, Stock Pro, Advanced No Wall, Advanced and Ultimate) are based on the experience and industry position of the competitor and the level of modifications to the vehicle. IdBL classes are based on the cumulative total of all subwoofer cone surfaces in square inches.
BassBoxing - is rapidly taking over as the most popular SPL competiton format. Bass Boxing competitors play full range music to determine how loud their system is in an average SPL reading for up to four rounds. It pits competitors against each other to see which one has the best sounding and LOUD system.
Bass Boxing divisions are broken up into the amount of square inches of cone surface, to keep the competition fair. Download the rules and see easy it is to compete and how much fun Bass Boxing can be! Anyone can enter and anyone can win!
Install Quality Challenge This is IASCA’s traditional competition format that continues to be “The Standard by Which Great Mobile Electronics Performance is Measured.” Competitors and their vehicles are judged under the following criteria:
The overall Sound Quality of the sound system and how it reproduces Spectral Balance, Tonal Accuracy, Staging, Imaging, Linearity and Absence of Noise within the vehicle.
SQC (Sound Quality Challenge) format is judged and scored on Sound Quality only and is designed for those who focus on the sound quality of their vehicle, not necessarily the level of detail in the installation.
